Kyiv [Ukraine], December 23: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on the evening of December 21 that he would continue to attack military facilities in Russia, after airstrikes targeted the city of Kazan and a village in Russia's Kursk province.
"We will definitely continue to strike Russian military targets, with drones and missiles, using Ukrainian - made missiles more and more.", Mr. Zelensky declared in a video address every night from Kyiv.
Earlier in the day, RT quoted officials as saying that three suicide drones had attacked several high-rise residential buildings in Kazan. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had shot down six UAVs targeting Kazan.
In addition, the ministry said yesterday that on the night of December 21 and early morning of December 22, the air defense system destroyed 42 UAVs launched by Ukraine into five Russian provinces, including Oryol, Rostov, Bryansk, Kursk and Krasnodar Krai, according to Reuters. As of last night, there was no information about Ukraine's response to Russia's statement.
