Belgrade [Serbia], December 23: Thousands of students and school pupils demonstrated in Belgrade on Sunday against what they view as a corrupt government, weeks after the collapse of a train station canopy that killed 15 people.
They marched to Slavija Square in the city centre holding banners saying, "Your hands are bloody" and "Children's revolution," according to media reports.
They were referring to the collapse of the canopy of the newly renovated main train station in the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad on November 1.
Alongside the 15 victims, dozens of people were injured.
The reconstruction of the train station was part of a project by Chinese companies to rebuild the railway line from Belgrade to Budapest in Hungary.
The public prosecutor's office in Novi Sad launched an investigation after the accident and ordered temporary arrests. (DPA)
