Bogota (Colombia), August 25: Veteran Galatasaray striker Radamel Falcao has been recalled to Colombia's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia, Paraguay and Chile, the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) said on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old has not represented his country since scoring a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Chile in Santiago last October.
His inclusion comes after Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata was ruled out of the matches because of a knee injury.
In addition, head coach Reinaldo Rueda named uncapped pair Andres Roman and Andres Andrade, who have been in impressive form for local clubs Millonarios and Atletico Nacional, respectively.
Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra, whose only international appearance to date came in 2019, is also a part of the 28-man squad, as is Shenzhen FC midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero.
But there was no place for playmaker James Rodriguez, who has yet to play for Everton this season amid speculation that he could leave Goodison Park in the coming days.
Colombia will meet Bolivia and Paraguay away on September 3 and 5 before a home clash against Chile on September 9.
Following is the Colombia squad:
